About ROT47 Cipher

The ROT47 Cipher is a derivative of ROT13 that operates on a larger set of characters. While ROT13 only rotates letters (A-Z), ROT47 rotates a range of ASCII characters (from ! to ~) by 47 positions. This means numbers, punctuation, and symbols are also scrambled, making it slightly more obscure (though still not cryptographically secure) than standard Caesar ciphers.

Why Use This Tool?

It acts as a quick way to obfuscate text strings, email addresses, or command lines without complex keys. Because it works on the ASCII table, running the result through ROT47 again restores the original text.

How to Use

  1. Enter your Text.
  2. Click Convert (Encrypt/Decrypt are the same).
